How to Handle Rejection From a Guy You Really Liked and Come Out Victorious in the End? Here Is How

To like a guy is a great feeling but at the other end of the spectrum, you'd see that it's pain that's waiting for you when he rejects you. It's normal to feel that the world seems to be caving in on you when he discards you. Here's how to handle the situation maturely:

You're wounded but don't show it to the world.
It's understandable that you're feeling a bit down, after all, you're just human. But don't make the situation worse by letting your hurt pride totally destroy you. Get up and go out, this is the time for you to pamper yourself.

Always keep your mind busy.
It's vital that you go about in your normal day-to-day activity. Mourn for a day or two but you must head on or he'll think that your entire happiness depended too much on him. Don't let your mind turn idle or you'll focus too much on the pain that you're feeling.

Discover yourself all over again.
Make a list of all the good qualities that you have which your boyfriend didn't see. Love all your unique assets and strive hard to acquire more. If there are some qualities that need to be improved, then be mature enough to accept it and move on.

Keep yourself from calling him.
Now this is foremost on your DON'T DO list - never give him the satisfaction of getting a phone call from you after he was the one who rejected you! Though it may take a month or more, resist the urge to get in touch with him! If he doesn't call, then that's the way destiny dictated things to happen.

Let go of any self-destructive behavior.
This is just one man! Even if he's the greatest looking or most intelligent guy on the planet, still, this is but one man so don't waste your life on him. Don't destroy yourself all because one man didn't want to go out with you!

Take a breather from relationships...for now.
One of the greatest mistakes that you could do at this point is jump into another relationship just when the first one ended. Trying to compensate the guy's absence with the presence of a different man isn't the way to snap out of depression.

Hold your head up high.
Rejection does hurt your pride but this shouldn't destroy your image of yourself. Your confidence should still be intact no matter what you've heard him say.
