Signs That It's Just Infatuation

Most teenagers these days are having a hard time distinguishing love from mere admiration which is why most of the end up having a broken heart. There is definitely a difference between love and crush which is why you might want to teach your teenage kids the difference so they would know whether they are in love or just infatuated. Here are some of the signs that it's just infatuation:

• You are just infatuated if you can make a decision without telling the person that you are infatuated with. If you are in love, you cannot stand any decision without telling your partner since it is already embedded in your mind that you need to let your partner know whatever decision you have in mind.


• It is definitely not love if you think about yourself first and not your partner. People who are in love definitely think about their partners first before thinking about themselves. This is a selfless act that only people who are in love could do. If you are not in love, then you would most likely think about yourself rather than think about someone else.


• If you are freaking out whenever you hear the word commitment, then you are definitely infatuated. People who are not ready to commit simply means that they are really not that into their partners. These people still want to enjoy their lives without the complications of being in a relationship. If you are the type of person that is scared when the topic about commitment is discussed, then you certainly are not in love.


• If you are always thrilled and you cannot explain the feeling, then you are also infatuated. A person who is infatuated always feels thrilled or usually suffers from an intense emotional upheaval. You feel something and you do not why you are feeling that way and you cannot explain such feeling. This is not true when you are in love so in case you are suffering from this, then you are most like infatuated and not in love.


• If you feel lust, then you are also infatuated. You feel that you cannot go on a day without thinking about having sex. This does not happen when you are in love because you always think of what would happen next if you give in to your feeling or to temptation.

These are few signs that would tell you that what you feel in infatuation and not love. People should not mistake love and being infatuated to be the same since these two feelings are definitely not the same.
